Reverse Text
Reverse characters, word order, letters in each word or line order. Emoji, flags and accented letters stay intact.
Reverse text, words or lines
Mirror a string, flip the order of words, or turn a list upside down. It is handy for puzzles and social posts, for checking palindromes, and for reversing a list that was exported newest-last. The result updates as you type and runs entirely in your browser.
Built for real text
- Emoji, skin tones, flags and family sequences stay whole.
- Accented and Turkish letters (é, ğ, İ) keep their marks.
- Windows and Mac line endings are both handled.
Frequently asked questions
- Why don't emoji break when reversed?
- Many reversers flip the text code unit by code unit, which splits emoji, flags and accented letters into garbage. This tool reverses whole characters as you see them, so 👨👩👧, 🇹🇷 and é come out intact.
- What's the difference between the modes?
- Characters mirrors the text (“abc” → “cba”). Word order keeps each word but reverses their sequence. Letters in each word mirrors every word in place and leaves punctuation where it was. Line order flips a list so the last line comes first.
- What does “Each line separately” do?
- For character and word reversal, it reverses inside each line and keeps the lines in their original order. Without it, the whole text is reversed as one block, so the last line also moves to the top.
