<script type="application/ld+json">
{
"@context": "https://schema.org",
"@type": "Organization"
}
</script>Paste the tag into your page's <head>, then validate it with Google's Rich Results Test.
Which schema type should you use?
- Organization on your homepage, to describe your brand, logo and social profiles.
- Article on blog posts and news, with author and publish dates.
- Breadcrumb on any page below the homepage, to show its place in your site structure.
- FAQ Page on pages with real question-and-answer content.
Only mark up content that is visible on the page. Structured data that doesn't match the page can lead Google to ignore it, or in serious cases to apply a manual action.
The generator leaves out every field you don't fill in, so the output stays clean and valid.
Frequently asked questions
What is JSON-LD?
JSON-LD is the structured data format Google recommends. It's a block of JSON inside a <script> tag that describes the page in schema.org vocabulary, separate from the visible HTML.
Does structured data improve rankings?
Not directly. It helps search engines understand the page and can make it eligible for rich results, such as breadcrumbs or article details, which can improve click-through rate.
Where do I put the generated code?
Paste the <script> tag into the page's <head> or body. Most CMSs have a field or plugin for custom head code. Then test the URL with Google's Rich Results Test.
