About Semhack

An SEO audit and Search Console tool for freelancers, small agencies and their teams, built around one weekly question: what should we fix first, and did last week’s fix work?

Why Semhack exists

Search Console tells you that a page lost clicks, but not why. An SEO audit tells you what’s broken on a page, but not whether anyone would notice if you fixed it. People who look after client sites end up stitching the two together by hand, in spreadsheets, every week.

Semhack does that stitching: it audits the pages (40 checks per page, plus whole-site crawls), reads each client’s Search Console data, and ranks what to fix by the clicks at stake. When you mark a fix done, it measures what happened to the page’s clicks over the next 28 days.

How we build it

  • The client’s own data. Numbers come from the site itself and its Search Console, not from third-party traffic estimates.
  • Read-only, nothing installed. Semhack never needs write access to Search Console or code on a client’s site. See security.
  • Rules you can read. The weekly list comes from fixed rules with published thresholds, and every estimate is labelled as one.
  • Honest about limits. Each feature page has a section on what it doesn’t do. We’d rather lose a sale than sell the wrong thing.
  • AI where it helps, never by default. AI drafts are optional and off until a workspace admin turns them on.

Who builds Semhack

Semhack is an independent product, not part of a larger SEO suite or agency. A fuller introduction to the people behind it will follow on this page.

Our articles are written by the same people, and signed by the Semhack editorial team.

Where the product is today

Semhack is in its early days and changing quickly; the changelog lists what shipped and when. Sign-ups may be invite-only while we let people in a few at a time, and there’s a free plan for one site.

What’s in the product today, around the weekly list:

AI drafts are there too, but optional and off until a workspace admin turns them on.

About the domain

semhack.com had other owners before Semhack, and for a while hosted a website that had nothing to do with SEO tools. If you followed an old link and landed here, that page is gone for good: those addresses now answer “410 Gone”. Semhack has no connection to earlier sites on this domain.
