SEO check

Image alt text

Counts <img> elements without an alt attribute. An empty alt="" counts as present, because it correctly marks a decorative image.

How the result is decided

  • PassEvery image has an alt attribute.
  • WarningSome images lack one, up to half of them.
  • FailMore than half of the images lack one.
  • InfoThe page has no images.

“Info” results don’t count toward the score.

Why it matters

Alt text is what screen readers announce and what image search reads. Missing alt text is an accessibility problem and a missed chance to describe the image.

How to fix it

  • Describe what the image shows in a few words.
  • Use alt="" for purely decorative images, so screen readers skip them.
Example
<img src="/team.jpg" alt="The Northwind support team in the Istanbul office">

After the fix, open the page’s report and choose Run again to confirm it passes.
