Performance check

Page size

Measures the size of the HTML document after decompression. Semhack reads at most 5 MB of HTML.

How the result is decided

  • Pass200 KB or less.
  • WarningUp to 1 MB.
  • FailOver 1 MB, or so large that reading stopped at the limit.

Why it matters

Large HTML takes longer to download and parse. It usually means inlined data, scripts or SVGs, or long lists rendered all at once.

How to fix it

Move inlined scripts, styles and data into separate files, paginate long lists and remove markup that is never shown.

After the fix, open the page’s report and choose Run again to confirm it passes.
