Getting started
Getting started with Semhack
What Semhack does, and the five steps that take a new workspace to its first weekly action list.
Semhack combines two things: page audits that check a URL against 40 technical SEO checks, and Google Search Console data that it turns into a short, ranked list of what to work on each week. Each person who signs up gets their own workspace.
Your first five steps
- Run an audit. Enter any page URL on Reports. The report opens right away and fills in when the audit finishes.
- Add clients. On This week, connect the Google account you use for clients and pick their Search Console properties, or add the demo client to explore with sample data first.
- Work the week. This week lists each client’s most valuable actions, ranked by clicks at stake. Open one to see the evidence, assign it, add it to the client’s brief or mark it done.
- Watch your sites. After a website’s first audit, Monitoring checks its homepage for uptime and its SSL certificate, and re-audits the pages you choose.
- Share the brief. Each week Semhack drafts a short brief per client. Edit it on Briefs and turn on a private link for your client.
Until these are done, a checklist on This week shows your progress. Each step ticks itself off from what’s in your workspace; you can close the checklist any time.
